Whats going on?

Right now is multi level marketing people are beginning to see the viability of these types of businesses and they are jumping in feet first. Multi level marketing has seen a huge rise in participants, and is expected to see more increases in the next couple of years. Some things that I noticed while looking for news on this subject us that there are lots of scams that are on the internet and it can be hard to tell which are scams and which are not.

Some ways to avoid being part of a scam is to research the company that you are interested in joining. This can be done on the internet or through the actual company, it is best to find consumer reports or business reports about the business. Also making sure that you have all of the information you need to get started. Things like how much does it cost, will there be inventory and are there cancelation fees.

How is this blogging affecting me?

Blogging is a great way to experience what others are thinking and experiencing themselves, it is also a great way for me to express the things that I have discovered.

Some difficulties with blogging include being more creative in things I write and being able to get every typo. 

When I started blogging I thought that it might be something similar to writing a message on someone’s wall on Facebook or a short paper describing something, but I was wrong. Blogging is a great tool to effectively communicate to a group of people.

The reason that I chose to blog about multi level marketing is because this is an increasing trend in business. In tern it is essential for the people who are getting involved in MLM companies to have facts and education that they can trust.

Other exciting things in MLM include women dominated companies, endless growth companies, and a major U.S based companies. 

What is going on in MLM?

Annual Yearly Meetings:

Many MLM companies have recently announced their yearly training conventions. This is especially important for the consultants or sales force that is at the lowest levels in the company. This is sooo important to help motivate and encourage people to sell, sell, and sell!

For top levels of management in these companies this is a time to show off their accomplishments and to be rewarded for what they have achieved. This is done through a number of ways such as cash bonuses and free jewelry.

A great example of this is the Arbonne Global Training Convention in Las Vegas. This event occurs every year, this year in January. These types of events are essential to getting the year started strong. This is very important to create a supportive and encouraging environment for the consultants and the leaders themselves.

The DSA (Direct Selling Association) also held a similar event for anyone who is involved in a direct selling company. This event was at the beginning of December and had a main focus of direct selling 101, marketing and communication efforts. Events like this that are a general learning experience are very important to educate the direct selling community as a whole. 

What is MLM?

I have decided to report and write about MLM marketing to be able to be informed about by business opportunities and to be able to inform others about helpful and useful information that can lead them the make and educated decision about joining this type of business or not.

My experience in journalism is very little, however my experience in blogging is somewhat of a medium level. I still have a lot to learn and I hope to do that through this blog and many others in the future.

What is Multi level marketing?

Multi-level marketing is a marketing strategy that is set up differently from the usual corporate structure. MLM is a way for a sales force to be compensated not only on their personal sales, or sales that are personally generated but also on the sales of the people they recruit to be with company as well. This type of marketing is also referred to as network marketing, direct selling and referral marketing.

What are the benefits?

1)     Low cost in marketing efforts.

a.     Most if not all marketing efforts are don’t by consultants themselves.

2)     Growth possibilities or endless

a.     This is possible because the ever changing amount of consultants.

3)     This is the current trend for people to be able to have a plan B for the future or their financial security.

4)     Relatively low start up costs.

5)     Anyone who has the drive can succeed with network marketing in some sort of way.

Some Downfalls of MLM:

                 

1)     If you are not with a well-structured MLM company disaster can strike.

2)     If it sounds to good too be true, it probably is.

3)     Many people do not really “work” their networking marketing business, and thus feel this type of business is difficult or a scam.

4)     There are many MLM scams out there.

5)     Keeping an inventory can be very expensive.
